Easter Anthology

Let's be honest, at some point in life (post schooling) I think most people stop reckoning the passage of years by their own lives and start counting per kiddos.  But as I have yet to birth any of my own (and trying to discern years by cat would be nigh unto impossible - pretty monotonous), I've borrowed my sister's munchkins to distinguish the years.

Bubba's first Easter, 2009.  The eggs she didn't mind, but the grass ... intolerable!

Easter numero dos, 2010.  Carrying the bag, no problemo.  Discerning what goes in the bag, slightly more of an issue.  Basketball, volleyball, not fitty so well.  But can you blame her? (Note the "eggs" shaped like football, bunny, monkey, soccer ball, etc.)

Three's a crowd, 2011.  Too busy chasing eggs to hold her big basket (dad got the privilege), and utilizing the little one primarily as a fashion statement, she was followed all over the yard by her paparazzi family (I think there were four or five of us with cameras).  Hope you enjoyed the massive attention kiddo, 'cause it was your last year as the only child/grandchild!

Four and newbie, 2012.  Bubba collected her basket full of eggs in record time (she's a pro), and opened the golden egg with her "treasure map" (drawing of the location of her Easter goodies).  Tiny stayed outside with the eggs while big sis found the treasure.  Note - it's her first Easter and she: a. is totally kosher with the grass, b. goes straight for the golden egg, and c. already knows the eggs go in the basket ... genius!  She's learning well from the excellent example of her big sissy!

Finished off the evening with egg dying.  Note to self: not all egg dyes are prepared the same way, so read each box separately (warm water/cold, vinegar, etc).  Another note to self: if you leave eggs in the fridge long enough, they will go bad, very bad.  Good thing those eggs were just for looks!

There ya go, Easter post babies.
