The Holy Land

My trip to the Holy Land was awesome!  Fantastic!  Better than I could have ever anticipated.
More details to come to the blog eventually (I hope).

But in the meantime, here's concrete (facetious) proof that it really is the Holy Land:

No dogs allowed, and the whole place is crawling with cats!

Not mangy strays, but dignified and respected queens.
I guess maybe they have a feline reverence carried over from near neighbor Egypt?
Don't know for sure, but I thought it was amazing!

Sunrise in Galilee, spot a seashore sleeper
Dome of the rock-cats!

Kings by the sea in Caesarea
Mr. Friendly - tried to join our group!
Mr. Friendly's friend
Just a couple of the cats in Capernaum
Napping in the sun, after being gently nudged out of museum
Can you spot the cat climbing Golgotha?

And I missed getting a picture of about a dozen cats together at a gas station one night,
because I was too slow and it was too dark, oh well.

The one picture I did get at gas station, hardly does it justice

I think you get the idea that there are a fair number of felines in Israel.
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that they probably don't have much of a rodent problem.

=^..^=

And to finish it off - the one and only dog I saw the whole trip!
