Idaho Wedding Trip

So, remember about 9 months ago my cousin got married?  Yeah, well his sister followed suit, not too far behind...

Great reason to visit Idaho, and see extended family members that haven't been together in years!  So much fun!  My dad sister, and the kiddos drove out for a longer trip, visiting her friends in Boise and Reno before and after, but I flew in - just for the weekend.  The kiddos were super excited to meet me at the airport, getting off the smallest plane I've ever been in!

We then joined the family for dinner at an all you can eat pizza place, and played some games after.  Fun to see the kids watching movies in the basement where we used to do the exact same thing a few decades ago!

The next morning came bright and early, and cold! (40 degrees cooler than California!)  We drove up to the Idaho Falls Temple for the sealing.  More of the happy couple:

And the goofy family ;o):

And sometimes you just gotta do some posin' ...

We may or may not have made a stop at Cafe Rio after the wedding luncheon...  and then did some sightseeing across the falls before heading back down to get ready for the reception.

Here's a video of the loud wiggles coming out.  What was cracking me up (besides their adorable antics) was that just off to the right (off-camera) was this couple totally cuddling up against the railing and trying to be all romantic.  Haha, kids are so fantastically oblivious - I can't remember if the couple gave up and left, or if we got outta there to give them some peace and quiet.  I mean who can't find it easy to enjoy a moment together with this ruckus going on right behind you?!

After the drive down for the party, this cute one seemed a little too anxious to get behind the wheel for my liking... ya gotta wait about 14 years for that one kidlet, and maybe being able to see over the dashboard first - might be a good goal too! :)

Reception time!  I'm not a huge fan of receptions, and I don't intend to have one (if I ever get hitched) - but I make exceptions in the case of family.  Always good to have a happy reason for a gathering!  Here's dad & his siblings - he and his brother apparently didn't share the tall genes with their sisters!

So, keeping a two year old occupied for several hours (without attacking the cake) can get a bit wacky pretty quick:

And this kiddo just might have developed a severe crush on her cousin...

Just maybe...  Haha, she ditched us at the dinner the first night to join them at their table, and once again at the reception, we didn't exist.  Five year old absolute adoration!  I wonder if his wife of 9 months was jealous?  Eh, she's probably pretty smitten by his dimples too.  :o')

Check out those doe eyes!!

Congrats to the newlyweds!  Happy forever!

That night we had a big scare, an accident at the hotel - involving a "broken" fridge and fingers frozen to metal freezer plate.  Tiny was a trooper to help mama, and here's hoping no permanent nerve damage was done...  The next morning it was off to church, and then a quick trip to check out how grandpa's house has changed in 20 years with new owners - so different!  I need to find an old pic to compare to!

And one last night of dinner and games at the cousins, with Papa teaching all the kids how to roar!

I flew home the next morning, with a short layover in Utah that turned into a longer one, returned a purse forgotten in Idaho, and had lunch and fun with friends.  The end for my trip! :o)
