| Glass egg I blew this year - abt 8in diameter |
I had a lot of fun, and the nieces (as always), are adorable. Bubba had an egg hunt party with all of her friends on Saturday, so she was super excited and kept asking her mom if she could hide the eggs for Tiny and help her find them on Sunday. Less work for momma? Done and done.
The Easter Bunny can always use a good helper - which is I think what I said to Bubba, and she replied, "Huh?" Lol, don't know if she wasn't listening or didn't think she was helping the Easter Bunny, but it was super fun to see her so excited about designing the hunt for and helping little sissy.
Holidays during quarter end craziness at work aren't my favorite, but they always happen, and the family pitched in with the food this time around and brother-in-law manned the BBQ. The only thing missing was the army needed to help eat all of the food... I don't think I've had that bad of a tummy ache since Thanksgiving. My sister and I decided there is a new level of the game "Fat Dog" (where you all sit on the couch after a meal and the first person to fall asleep wins) - falling asleep while still sitting at the table, that is definitely the bonus round!
And Bubba wouldn't be satisfied without the egg decorating, which my mom brought all the supplies for this year. I didn't take pictures of the final products, I left most of the picture taking to my sister this year.
Here are some of the few pics I did take, note to self: either this is what you get when you start snapping photos without checking any of the settings on the camera (and it's not on auto settings), or the kidlets have suddenly developed mini super powers and cameras can't catch their speed! ... you decide.
Tiny was adorably excited with what was in the eggs - "Fwuit Saks!" (fruit snacks). I don't know how many she fit in her mouth at once, but I was mildly worried about the choking hazard.
And finally, I said to the girls, do you know what Teetee wants for Easter? A picture with both of you looking at the camera! My sister said, good luck!
Haha, not exactly what I wanted, but close enough. Can't blame them for not loving the camera, no one could possibly hate having their picture taken more than moi!
Happy Easter to you! Happy sugar-low to follow!
And may the sweetness of the resurrected Savior be with you always! I know He lives! On that glorious day the tomb was empty ... just like these eggs are now. :)
