Adventure of a lifetime! And since a picture is worth a thousand words, posting all these pics will save me lots or writing! All we had to do was walk across the dock to catch out whirlybirds...

| Our ship and a helicopter taking off |
| Watching the safety video & getting our boot covers |
| Getting ready! |
Bubba and Papa's flight-seeing helicopter ride, first time for both of them!
| How adorable is that!?! |
| They got to sit in the front, and could look straight down! |
| All done! |
| Yay helicopter! |
| Tired of having her picture taken! |
My helicopter & dog-sledding adventure with my sister and brother-in-law:

| So cute!! |
| Lest you think by this pic that I want a dog - nope, they stink! |
| | | | |
| Pile of puppies! |
| Here's 2 month old "Solo" |
| Can you guess how many puppies were in his litter? |
| Yes, he's cute! |
| But ya know what? |
| He still stinks like a dog! |
| Perfect pose |
| And he slobbers! |
| But bro-in-law... |
| ...actually likes doggy slobber! |
| And doesn't mind being a human chew toy either.. |
| Huts the handlers live in - they fly to town once a week for a shower & laundry! |
I thought it was interesting - they told us that the snow on the glacier continuously melts out from under the camp (or any object you might accidentally leave behind in the snow), so they have to move everything further up the glacier every few weeks during the summer while they are running. Notice the skis the huts are built on. I think they said it initially took about 50 helicopter trips to get all the camp gear, supplies, and dogs hauled up there!
| On our way back |
| Tiny town of 900... |
| ... swells to 10,000+ with all the ships |
| In front of our 'copter |
And here's the official picture of our sledding - it's a picture of a print, so a little warped...
| Proof of our adventure |
Thanks for the adventure dad, it was fantastic!! Oh, and our
ski-jackets make it look authentic, but once again - California weather
was with us, and it was like 70 degrees!
P.S. The super people-shy doggy in our team, Willow, let me pet her at the end (she totally pulled away from the others), I take that as a huge compliment! :o)
When we got back, Bubba was sooo excited to tell us about her ride!
